Nick Kemp Biography
I first became interested in personal development in the late 1970s running
workshops in the UK, USA and Europe, teaching various forms of mantra,
accelerated energy and visualisation practices. This led me to explore the
work of Milton Erickson and others who were primary influences on the creators of NLP.
In the 1990s I started exploring many different systems of personal development
and accelerated change and in 2001 I started to create the Human Alchemy series of
products which are distributed internationally by Anglo American Books and are available
on all Amazon sites. The first CD in the series that attracted the attention of Crown House
Publishing was described by them in the following manner in their internationally established
Changes magazine:
"This is a very interesting CD using hypnotic language techniques to take you
on an adventure discovering deep relaxation as well as facilitating change.
We are sent many CDs and audiotapes from therapists for review, but it is
truly unusual to come across a product that is as effective and professional
as this offering from Nick Kemp. As well as being a useful tool it should be
of great interest to those who wish to use the more complex language techniques
inherited from Milton Erickson's great work. Highly recommended!"
Crown House Publishing
During this period I also created the first ever DTS multi channel hypnosis
induction as an EP called "This Healing Space". Rather than simply being a stereo
recording, this piece was recorded using 5 separate channels creating a very
different listening experience.
Provocative Therapy & Provocative Change Works™
In 2004 I first met Frank Farrelly and spent three years intensively studying
Provocative Therapy to become a Farrelly endorsed Provocative Therapy trainer
having attended many of his trainings as well as having hundreds of hours of one
to one contact with him discussing this approach.
In 2004 I set up TranceformingNLP as an NLP training company in the UK and regularly run
certificated NLP practitioner and master practitioner trainings in the UK, as
well as other master classes and hosting of guest trainers such as John LaValle,
Doug O Brien and Frank Farrelly. In 2005 I set up NLPMP3.com as a universal free NLP resource which reflects
views from all schools of NLP to promote healthy NLP debate and discussion. In 2006
I was invited as a guest on BBC Radio and for a 26 week period worked with phobics
live on the radio for an hour each week, curing all the phobics who volunteered as
clients for these sessions. In 2007 I released a DVD of my "Provocative Change Works™" approach which had commentary and
an introduction from Frank Farrelly himself. Frank Farrelly has been pivotal in
developing my own work and a great source of inspiration and encouragement:
"You are totally disarming and beyond formalisation.
There is ease and naturalness about you and you make people relax really quickly.
You got the power man!"
Frank Farrelly
"Go to Nick Kemp's websites, and there he talks about PT
in funny informative ways; you'll find his work on phobias using PT mixed with NLP
and Hypnosis quite a blend and Enlightening!!"
Frank Farrelly
I am currently working with Steve Andreas to formally write up some of the
exercises I created for working with clients. As well as running NLP specific
events I run Nick Kemp Training
which offers corporate trainings to business and "The Art of Good Fortune" workshops which explore the power of
intention and attraction.
Private Therapy Sessions
I also run a highly successful private practice in Leeds, where I see numerous
clients privately per year using my Provocative Change Works™ approach to successfully
deal with a wide range of client conditions.
Over the years as well as appearing on BBC Radio and other stations I have had
a number of articles published in magazines as diverse as Rapport magazine, The
Middle Eastern Educator, Resource Magazine amongst others. I continue to be fascinated
by the power of personal transformation by using the skills I have developed to date
and am truly grateful to those colleagues who continue to assist me in exploring
the power of change using these tools.
